BCA Board Director John McLenagan, who also serves as manager of Planning and Information Services for the Chesterfield County Police Department, spearheads an effort to create Neighborhood Watch groups within Brandermill. To enable residents to better understand how to partner with Chesterfield County Police Department, McLenagan has recommended that residents attend the department's 2008 Citizens Academy. For more information, visit http://www.chesterfield.gov/police.aspx?id=2496. Next session begins September 11.

Neighborhood Watch groups within Brandermill are now forming. Information on how you can create a Neighborhood Watch group for your neighborhood is available at the BCA, or contact NRCInfo@BrandermillNRC.com. Let's all work together to maintain Brandermill's low crime rate!

Invisible Towers Withdraws Cell Tower Application

Posted August 19, 2008 at 12:10 PM
August 19, 2008, 6:30 p.m., Public Hearing, Public Meeting Room, Chesterfield County Administration Building, 9901 Lori Road off Route 10 in Chesterfield: Chesterfield County Public Hearing on Invisible Towers' initial application to construct a cell tower in Brandermill (Case No. 08SN0277). Invisible Towers, LLC representatives withdrew their application to construct a cell tower on Brandermill Country Club property.

Here's what one Brandermill resident had to say about the result of the outcome:
"I was pleased tonight at the Chesterfield County Planning Commission meeting to see that Invisible Towers, LLC, the cell phone tower company, withdrew its filing with the county to install the tower at the Brandermill Country Club.

I would like to thank the BCA Board members who acted promptly at the August 18 meeting, demonstrating prudent leadership by voting against the installation of the cell phone tower in our community.

As a new resident of Brandermill (one month) and a new co-NRC rep of Winterberry Ridge, I was glad to see community residents emerge as a strong force, voicing their opinions to the board via e-mails and attending at least three meetings to voice their concerns ...."
